Students from Tak Sun Secondary School, a participating school of the “IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools” programme, participated in the 2021 National Youth Drone Challenge (Hong Kong) held on 9 July 2021 and won the Merit Award by successfully completing two events, namely the Manual Control Three-dimensional Maze Escape Game and the Swarm Programming Obstacle Course.

About the Competitions

The 2021 National Youth Drone Challenge (Hong Kong) was a regional competition of the Educational Drone Event, China. The national competition was organised by Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronauts. The Hong Kong competition, organised by ASK Idea (Hong Kong) Limited, was held on 9 July 2021. Each of the 50 participating secondary schools sent a three-student team to participate in the competition. The competition included two compulsory events, the Manual Control Three-dimensional Maze Escape Game and the Swarm Programming Obstacle Course, as well as an optional event, the Maze Exploration Mission.
