An Enriched IT Class student, Jerry Li Ho Ming, of Cheung Sha Wan Catholic Secondary School, a partner school of the “Enriched IT Programme in Secondary Schools”, was selected as one of the 100 Rise Global Winners in October 2021.

With his excellent EdTech project, Jerry Li broke through multiple rounds of strict selection of Rise Challenge and became one of the 100 Rise Global Winners. He will have the opportunity to obtain sponsorship from Rise (which is worth about USD500,000 in total), including university and graduate scholarships, mentorship, and funding for deployment of innovative solutions to establish a social enterprise.

The competition he entered is the “Project OpenEdTech” which aims to create a platform for young talent all over the world to develop their skills and interests in the fields of engineering and technology. Open-source hardware, software and tutorials are offered to all learners for them to embark on their journey of innovation exploration and broaden their horizons in the world of technology with great user experience.
