About the Competition
Targeting students and teachers from secondary and primary schools, as well as parents and residents in the neighborhood, the Hong Kong 3D Projection Mapping Festival (“PM Fest”) attracts about 10 to 15 schools participating in this event every year. PM Fest aims to promote the projection mapping light art, a popular arts technology which has seen widespread application across different domains, including the Tokyo Olympics. Students from the participating schools have to bring with them computers and projectors to build their own projection mapping works on site. Student teams may join hands to build projection mapping works with shared themes. Representatives from the teams will showcase their works on stage on three occasions, including a 30-second introduction at the opening ceremony, a 3-minute experience sharing and a speech at the closing ceremony. Apart from the official PM Fest jury prizes, there will also be three prizes voted by audience. Participating teams should therefore prepare publicity leaflets and marketing strategies to court voters.
