Visit to HKT Network Operation Centre (with photos)
Under the arrangement of the Enriched IT Programme in Secondary Schools, a group of secondary school students and teachers from Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung Yau College visited the HKT Network Operation Centre (NOC) on 13 December 2019. The students also got the chance to experience HKT’s Smart Parking System.
During the visit, students learned about the system management behind the operation of the territory-wide networks (including mobile network, broadband network, pay-TV and fixed line), and how the advanced parking system makes use of Internet of Things technology to achieve smart mobility.
This event deepened students’ knowledge about the operation of large enterprises and the application of new technologies in daily life. It also broadened their horizons on information and communications technology industry by acquainting them with the work of the professionals of the industry.
