Enriched IT Class students of St. Paul’s Convent School, a partner school of the “Enriched IT Programme in Secondary Schools”, participated in the Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Award 2020 (Hong Kong) in May 2020 and have won four Gold, two Bronze and five Merit Awards.

“BetterBeri” is a Berrybot that makes use of AI concepts to categorise strawberries by quality.

“Laughter Catcher” is a mobile app designed for primary students that encourages them to use “Laughter Yoga” to relieve stress and strengthen their relationship with friends, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Robotics Stream (Senior Section) – Gold Award
Awardees: Andrea Chan, Janice Chan and Sunnie Chan
“GRIPtech” is a device comprised of both hardware and software elements that helps people learn the correct posture of holding pens or pencils for writing.
Robotics Stream (Junior Section) – Gold Award
Awardees: Janice Lee, Samantha Lam and Sophia Li
“Gondola” makes use of sensors and suction to stabilise gondolas in bad weather so as to ensure the occupational safety of workers.
The Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Award (Hong Kong) was organised by the Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association (HKNETEA) to enhance students’ creativity and innovation in STEM, and recognise young STEM talents for their efforts.
