“Enriched IT Programme” Partner School students won Silver Award in Infomatrix 2019 held at Romania (with photos)
Enriched IT Class students of Pak Kau College participated in the Infomatrix 2019 held in Bucharest, Romania from 20 April to 24 April. They won Silver Award in the category of Hardware Control.
Awardees include :
Silver Award (Hardware Control) - Thapa Mishal and Majeed Hena, their entry titled “Barrier Free Home”.
“Barrier Free Home” uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to control home doors and electrical appliances to help the elderly and physically disabled people. The system uses face recognition to recognise the identity of the person in front of the gate to strengthen the security. Google Assistant is also be used in speech recognition to control various household electrical products and room doors.
Infomatrix is an international computer project competition, born from a desire to bring the world's best IT students together. This year, more than 1 016 secondary students from more than 46 countries participated in different categories.
