“Enriched IT Programme” Partner School students won one Silver and five Bronze medals in “Infomatrix-Asia 2019” (with photos)
Enriched IT Class students of Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung Yau College representing Hong Kong to participate in the international competitions in computer projects (Informatics) “Infomatrix-Asia 2019” held in Kazakhstan. They won one Silver and five Bronze medals in the category of Computer Graphics and Art.
Awardees include :
Silver Medal (Computer Graphics and Art) - Kam Hung Lee, his entry titled “Worm”.
Bronze Medal (Computer Graphics and Art) - Yiu Kuen Chan, his entry titled “Mend”.
Bronze Medal (Computer Graphics and Art) - Yau Cheung, his entry titled “Decision”.
Bronze Medal (Computer Graphics and Art) - Sui San Lo, his entry titled “Factory”.
Bronze Medal (Computer Graphics and Art) - Ka Wing Fok, his entry titled “The Paper World”.
Bronze Medal (Computer Graphics and Art) - Ming Hang Leung, his entry titled “Harass”.
This year's topic is to design a mascot for the competition. Participants will be given a 10-minute display time, presenting their project and sharing their design of the stand. The S5 student Kam Hung Lee won a silver medal with his entry titled "Worm". The main character in his animation does not pay much attention to personal hygiene resulting in a nightmare of being bitten by a spider and then he starts to change his attitude towards personal hygiene. Lee hopes to bring the message of good personal hygiene through his computer animation.
“Infomatrix-Asia” is one of the International competitions in computer projects. It consists of seven categories including Robotics, Computer Programming, Computer Graphics and Art, Hardware Control Systems, Short films, Drone Racing and Applied mathematics. Participants from more than 250 teams from 28 countries are attracted to join this year’s competition.
