“Enriched IT Programme” Partner School students won multiple awards in “The Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Award 2019 (Hong Kong)” (with photos)
Enriched IT Class students of St. Paul’s Convent School won multiple awards in “The Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Award 2019 (Hong Kong)”. In addition, the school also won the Best STEM School Award and the Best Participation School Award.
Awardees (Secondary Division) :
Gold award -Andrea Chan, Janice Chan, Sunnie Chan, Eagaon Lai and Elyse Wu, their entry titled “ADHDreamer”.
Gold award -Jenny Jiang and Zoelle Suo, their entry titled “ConSulenT”.
Gold award -Andrea Chan and Janice Chan, their entry titled “EVOLution”.
Bronze award -Madeline Leung and Cindy Yeung, their entry titled “ASAPHealth”.
Bronze award -Abigail Chua, Danielle Hau and Bell Ngan, their entry titled “The Wheel Connect”.
After several months of recruitment and judging at the end of March, “The Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Award 2019 (Hong Kong) Award Ceremony” was held on 2 April 2019 and Mr Tony Wong, JP, Assistant Government Chief Information Officer (Industry Development) of the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) was invited to be the guest of honour for award presentation.
“The Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Award 2019 (Hong Kong)” was organised by Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association (HKNETEA) and supported by the Education Bureau (EDB), Innovation and Technology Bureau (ITB) and Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO). It aims to enhance students’ creativity and innovation, and recognise young STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) talent for their efforts. Subjects of the Award include Science Lab, Robotics and ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
