“Enriched IT Programme” Partner School students won fourteen medals comprising five Gold, seven Silver and two Bronze medals in the “Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics (HKOI) 2018/19” (with photos)
Enriched IT Class students of Pui Ching Middle School won fourteen medals comprising five Gold, seven Silver and two Bronze Medals in Junior and Senior group of the “Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics (HKOI) 2018/19”. In addition, the school was also crowned Champion in the Grand School Prize and won all three Individual Prizes.

The Best First-Time Contestant (Junior Group) - Wong Tsz Him
The competition is divided into two groups, namely the Junior Group and the Senior Group, depending on their age. Every secondary school could nominate eight students for each group. In the Heat Event, contestants will have to complete a written paper of 90 minutes’ duration which includes multiple-choice questions, filled questions, etc. In the Final Event, they will take a practical test in which they have to write programs to solve the given problems.
Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics (HKOI) is a software programming competition for secondary students in Hong Kong, emphasising on problem solving techniques and programming skills. It aims at enhancing students' interest in software programming. The competition was organised by the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE), Education Bureau, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (EDB), and co-organised by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
