With the support of the PKU-HKUST Shenzhen-Hong Kong Institution, seven teachers and 65 Secondary Two to Secondary Four Enriched IT Class students visited the Shenzhen Skyee Artificial Intelligence Institute in Nanshan Park, Shenzhen on 27 Jan 2018 under the Enriched IT Programme in Secondary Schools.  The event included understanding different types of Artificial Intelligence (AI) robots developed by the Institute, such as nursing robots for the elderly, cleaner robots and substation patrol robots, and participating in an open discussion session about AI and robotics knowledge with engineers from the Institute.

During the visit, students not only experienced the mechanical principles through operating various types of robotics products by themselves, but also learnt the structures of robots and the computing methodology of the AI navigation system, and enhanced their knowledge of AI applications in business and daily life. In the discussion session, students could also understand the development process of AI robots and the correlated development between AI and robotics technologies.
