With "Smart Future for Disability Inclusion" as this year's theme, St. Paul's Convent School IT Class students Cindy Yeung and Tivona Yeung of F.4S and Madeline Leung of F.4P came up with innovative ideas of writing a mobile app to help wheelchair users solve problems in their daily life, such as when they travel, dine out, enjoy leisure activities. Their vision was to help build a more inclusive community in Hong Kong for the disabled. This app is able to recognise and calculate the height of road curbs using the Google Cloud Platform on Google Maps street view. Wheelchair users can input their starting and end point locations to the app, and the app can then find the most accessible route for them to take. They won the Bronze Award in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2017 Competition.

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2017 Competition was open to all secondary school students in Hong Kong and they could enter as teams of three. Participating teams had to come up with innovative ideas of applying technology to help wheelchair users to solve their problems in daily life, such as traveling, dining out, enjoying leisure activities, etc. Winners were selected based on the creativity, feasibility, functionality and presentation of their ideas.
