Three F3 students from the EITP at St. Paul’s Convent School (SPCS) entered the Technovation Challenge HK, in which they won the Senior Division. Their mobile app ASAPHealth enables better access to healthcare services in Hong Kong by integrating live waiting time data, travel times and hospital performance information.

Building on their experience in developing mobile apps and creative solutions to problems in the EITP, they worked with EITP teachers at SPCS and external mentors through a series of workshops and seminars to develop their ideas and write their app. The completion culminated in a presentation of their app and business plan to Hong Kong entrepreneurs and tech leaders at Cyberport. As winners of the senior division, they were sponsored by Alibaba to observe the Technovation World Pitch Finals in San Francisco, where they also visited Silicon Valley firms like Microsoft, Google and Nvidia.

They continue to develop their app, and have presented at many more events including the RISE Conference, an event for female-led startups at LinkedIn HK and with local entrepreneurs at Metta.
